hristmas day at the Beale and Branning household descends into chaos when an angry Max Branning decides to act up in EastEnders

spoilers for next week. Growing volatile after the revelation that Annie is his daughter, Max is in a particularly unpredictable mood.

As the week begins, Max is still simmering over Linda’s bombshell. After upsetting his family with his typically messy reaction, Max later settles down for Christmas dinner, only for more drama to kick off at the table.

Max vents to Lauren and Jack after learning the truth about Annie from Linda. Vowing to stand by him, they’re both relieved to think that they’ve managed to talk Max out of doing something stupid.

 

 

However, after a word of advice from Zoe, unpredictable Max does something that he may come to regret, making a massive scene in public, and upsetting more than one person.

The next day, Max has made an enemy of himself again, and he guiltily tries to make amends to Oscar. After getting distracted by Linda, Max is waylaid – while Oscar drowns his sorrows.

 

 

Feeling let down by his dad, Oscar shares another shocking bombshell which threatens to ruin Christmas entirely…

The next day, as Christmas falls on Albert Square, the two families prepare for dinner as a family. Ian and Peter manage to avert one disaster by sending Cindy away (even if they offend her in the process), before sitting down for their meal.

 

 

But with Max still in a sulk over Oscar’s revelation, it’s not long before Christmas dinner descends into absolute chaos.
