EastEnders spoilers have revealed the aftermath of Ravi Gulati’s ‘terrible incident’ as Max Branning prepares to go on a ‘date’ with a new character.

It’s been a hectic period on the BBC soap, with viewers getting a glimpse into what’s in store a year from now Albert Square on New Year’s Day. It was revealed in the special episode that not only was Max getting married, but he was cheating on his fiancé.

On top of this, Max was charged with soliciting a murder and was being targeted by a mysterious stalker. It was revealed at the end of the episode that Max has to choose whether to save his daughter Lauren or son Oscar, with the gunman holding them captive in 2027.

In spite of fans trying to solve multiple puzzles, EastEnders is operating as normal as the Walford residents recover from Anthony Trueman’s dramatic death. While Christmas is officially over, the drama isn’t going to slow down anytime soon.

This week will see drug dealer Ravi spiked by Nicioa Mitchell and left in a pit by Harry Mitchell, who Ravi kidnapped last year. Ravi’s ordeal will see him becoming frightened when he begins suffering hallucinations.

On Monday, January 12, Ravi wakes up in the street with no recollection of what happened the night before. After charging his phone, Ravi picks up some worrying messages and soon realises that he is responsible for a terrible incident.

Later, Ravi confesses everything to his partner Priya Nandra-Hart, who struggles with the weight of his confession. Ravi is rattled as the detectives investigating the incident ask to talk to Priya.

Over at Peacock Palace, Linda Carter’s old friend from school, Bea, takes a shine to Max. Linda offers to pick up the rest of Bea’s stuff from her old flat and then go for a drink. However, when Ollie has an issue at school, Max offers to take Bea out so Linda can focus on her son. Bea is thrilled to have a ‘date’ with Max.

The Truemans get word they can visit Anthony in the Chapel of Rest at Cokers the following day. Patrick struggles with his guilt as a result of telling Anthony he wished he was dead in their final conversation, so Yolande advises him to build bridges with Jasmine and invite her over.

On Tuesday, January 13, the police want to speak to Ravi following their interview with Priya. Max is stunned to hear Bea thinks they are going on a date but decides to keep up the pretence for Linda’s sake.

Elsewhere, Oscar and Lauren discuss a memorial to mark the anniversary of Abi’s death. Max’s son Oscar invites his dad who promises he’ll come along later but hegets waylaid when his ‘date’ with Bea doesn’t go to plan.
