EastEnders has revealed how Howie Danes will be caught out after Anthony Trueman makes a shocking discovery, with the pair desperately attempting to keep their own secrets. As the tension rises, how does the situation play out?

The pair have been harbouring their respective secrets, with Howie neglecting to tell partner Kim Fox that he had committed a series of small crimes in order to quickly get his hands on some cash.

Anthony, meanwhile, has been acting peculiarly around Albert Square, with the doctor having several suspicious phone calls with a mystery individual. Though the exact nature of the calls hasn’t been confirmed yet, we know it’s revolving around Patrick.

In next week’s scenes, it was already revealed that Howie and Anthony would clash as they both have suspicions of each other, though new information from the BBC soap has filled in some of the details.

Howie is initially cornered by Anthony, who spots him with Penny Branning’s stolen ring. The doctor assumes that Howie had acquired it in order to propose to Kim, and this gives Howie an idea to actually go through with the idea.

After Howie gets on one knee to Kim at the festive light switch-on, Anthony hears from Penny that her ring has gone missing, and immediately realises that Howie was the one who stole it.

He gathers evidence of the theft and confronts Howie, though the tables are turned after Howie begins to pressure Anthony on his own secrets. With the pair at an impasse, will they be able to put their differences aside?

While Howie and Anthony are at loggerheads, there is strife within the Mitchell family as Teddy prepares to take the fall for the murder of drug dealer Okie, which was actually committed by his son Harry.
