Last year, Danny teased the possibility of returning to the soap, with Mick’s death left somewhat ambiguous given a body was never found.

“I do have a lot of people asking me about whether I’m going back and I’ll be honest, I would have gone back [for the soap’s recent 40th anniversary] if they’d have asked me, but they didn’t ask me,” he told The Late Late Show. “I think they’ve got the hump with me now, I don’t know why!”

He added: “Who knows? Maybe I will go back. You know, if the appetite’s still there for it, then maybe bring Mick back.”

However, the year before Danny appeared to confirm to Heatworld that Mick was very much “dead”, adding: “Look, I take it as a compliment that people want me to go back.

“Who knows? If there’s no closure there, then maybe I would come back for a dream sequence. I don’t think Mick could just rock up covered in seaweed!”

EastEnders has revealed that there’s set to be another bust-up between Ross Marshall and the recently-returned Mark Fowler Jr next week, following the dramatic court scenes.

Last week saw Mark return to Albert Square, and while sister Vicki’s court appearance wasn’t his main reason (he’s involved in some drug-dealing gang drama), he still made his feelings about the situation known – with a punch to Ross’ face.

But while Ross’s son Joel eventually pleaded guilty to attacking Vicki and is set to be sentenced for his crime, Mark is still furious with Ross.

Newly-released pictures show the two getting in a scuffle once again, with Zack Hudson stepping in to stop them.

So what spurs Mark into kicking off this time? Well you may have already read that Mark finds out that Ross is planning on proposing to Vicki, after their relationship has seemingly got back on track.

Mark isn’t thrilled about the news and makes his feelings known once again, chastising Ross for not protecting Vicki when it mattered.

But that’s not the only thing that could jeopardise Ross and Vicki’s future, as she secretly hooked up with Zack again last week.

Mark will find out about that next week, and he’s shaken by the thought – given that Zack and Sharon are siblings, and Vicki and Sharon were essentially raised as sisters too.It looks like it might be Vicki who ends up revealing the secret to Ross, though, as spoilers reveal that she’s so taken aback by Ross’ romantic proposal that she blurts out something that will leave him demanding answers.
