EastEnders’ Kojo Asare finally sees Okie Okyere’s true colours next week – and vows to set his friend Harry Mitchell free! However, when Kojo makes his move to try to get them both away from the flat, he finds his friend is too weak to walk.

Incapacitated Harry urges him to make his escape alone – but can Kojo really leave his best mate behind?

 

 

“Poor Kojo is unflinchingly loyal to Harry, so of course he doesn’t want to abandon him,” reveals our EastEnders insider. “However, Harry knows they only have a few precious moments before Okie comes back to the flat.

“They have to use this window of opportunity as they may not get another chance – but Kojo will be distraught if he has to leave his pal behind…”

 

 

While Harry has been chained up in the flat for weeks, Kojo has been away in Cardiff, not knowing what he has been going through.

But the scales fell from Kojo’s eyes when he returned and saw Harry’s condition, and next week he is forced to help Okie with the drugs business.

 

 

As his worries for Harry intensify, Kojo finds a quiet moment to tell his mate that he is going to find a way to set him free.

But Kojo isn’t the only one with concerns about the situation at the flat. When Phil returns to the Square and George discovers that the garage boss never agreed to Harry’s time off, he’s more concerned than ever about what’s going on with Harry and Kojo.

 

 

Meanwhile, having not heard from his son for some time and sensing something is seriously wrong, desperate Teddy confides in George about the drugs trade that has been operating out of Harry and Kojo’s flat.

George is horrified – but as he goes to phone the police, Teddy is quick to stop him, pointing out that Kojo could be seen as complicit in what was going on…

Back at the flat, Kojo spots his opportunity when he finds the key to release the padlock on Harry’s chains. However, after he releases his friend, Harry is weak after weeks of torture and drug taking and finds himself unable to walk.

Harry pleads with his friend to make his own escape and not worry about him. But can Kojo really leave Harry to whatever cruel fate Okie has in store for him now?
