The character, as viewers know, has made it her mission to get out of the Square after the walls started to close in on her in the wake of her role in Anthony Trueman’s (Nicholas Bailey) demise.

Anthony perished on Christmas Day amid a brawl with Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), who was knocked out by the violent doctor.

It was later revealed that Jasmine, who tormented the Slater legend for months, arrived during the showdown and, in a bid to protect her mum, she attacked Anthony, resulting in his death.

Zoe is currently in prison for the crime, with Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) determined to get her released.

The Queen Vic landlady was under the impression that Jasmine had gone to the police to report her previous association with Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman), who Kat reckons is to blame for Anthony’s demise – unaware that the real culprit is much closer to home.

Jasmine, meanwhile, has desperately tried to scrape together enough cash to flee Walford before her role in the crime is exposed, with boyfriend Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) planning on joining her.

However, in Tuesday’s edition of the serial, he came to realise that Jasmine had already fled, leaving him a message telling him that she’s better off alone.

This prompted him to spill the beans of Jasmine’s escape plan to Kat, who was left devastated to learn that her granddaughter had not only vanished but that she had been stringing her along for weeks regarding the police report she claimed to have made.

Oscar, meanwhile, was left heartbroken and thus drowned his sorrows at the Vic while Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) was devastated to discover that his newfound granddaughter had vanished.
