Drama wasn’t on #BoldAndBeautiful’s Hope’s bridal registry, but a surprise guest would bring exactly that to the #Lope wedding. Would now be a good time for Thomas to reappear?

Sneak-peek photos from the Bold & Beautiful remarriage of Liam and Hope this week reveal that on hand for the festivities is Henry Samiri

as Douglas, who you’ll recall Hope adopted following the death of his mother, Caroline, and has coparented ever since with Thomas. And

while it’s always good to see the youngster, whose character may well be the Forrester with the most fully functioning conscience, we’ve gotta ask: Where the heck is Thomas himself?

Will Bold & Beautiful's Thomas Crash Hope and Liam's Wedding?

Sure, Douglas is a more-than-welcome addition to the wedding guest list, but it’s Thomas who would’ve brought a gift that definitely wasn’t on Liam and Hope’s registry: drama. And we’d have been here for it! As it is, we’re still mystified that Bold & Beautiful briefly brought back Thomas just to have him instantly get over the fact that Ridge once again dumped his mother and remarried Brooke.

Why, during Thomas’ visit, didn’t the show play the beat in which he called Hope on the carpet for getting engaged to Carter? She’d told Thomas over and over again that she wasn’t ready to make that kind of commitment. But what? Was it just that she wasn’t ready to make that kind of commitment to him — even though, since they’d begun their affair in earnest, he’d been nothing but wonderful to her?

The Bold and the Beautiful

How, Thomas might rightfully have asked, could Hope have gotten engaged to Carter in the first place when he un-staged the Forrester Creations coup on her and let her be fired? His engagement ring she’d wear but not Thomas’, despite the fact that he treated her like she walked on water?

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers in Video Dec. 8-12: Wedding Drama or No Drama?

Now, we’re dying to see Thomas question Hope about her reunion with Liam — and it doesn’t look like we’re going to get it. But can you imagine all the pot-stirring that would have gone on if he’d been at the wedding with his son? The snark would’ve been off the charts as he cracked to Hope, “Well, I guess now I know what Liam’s got that I don’t: a fake brain tumor. At least my brain bleed was real.”

Thomas could then feign sincerity as he wishes Hope well on her “I redo” with Liam. “I’m sure this time will be different,” he assures his ex. “I mean different in that it won’t be me that you find yourself inexplicably drawn to in a few months when you get bored being married to the equivalent of a yawn, ’cause honey, this kissing booth is no longer open to you.”

Then, at least in our dream scenario, Bold & Beautiful could play the storyline we’ve wanted for ages, in which Thomas and Taylor act as each other’s wingman as they paint the town red and discover that OMG! There are more than 12 people in L.A. if only they step outside of Forrester Creations and Il Giardino!
