Corriedale confirms 11 more characters facing death in apocalyptic car smash

ITV has released another new Corriedale trailer, and confirmed the next 11 characters who will get caught up in the apocalyptic car smash.

The promo for the episode, which will air at the start of January, teases more Coronation Street and Emmerdale residents who get caught up in the catastrophic event.

From the cobbles, new characters confirmed to be featuring are Kit Green, James Bailey, Asha Alahan, Carla Connor and Shona Platt, while Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle, Sarah Sugden, Charity Dingle, Jacob Gallagher, Robert Sugden and Joe Tate will be involved in the drama as well.

The group join previously announced David Platt, Tracy Barlow, Liam Cavanagh, Aaron Dingle and Lisa Swain.

Following the multi-vehicle smash, Kit (Jacob Roberts) tries to take control of the situation, while Carla (Alison King) can be seen in the trailer trying to calm someone down.

Up ahead, Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) is on hand to help Shona and David (Julia Goulding and Jack P Shepherd), while Asha (Tanisha Gorey) is busy with Cain (Jeff Hordley), who are both attempting to help more casualties.

In Hotten General Hospital, pregnant Charity (Emma Atkins) is busy trying to help a screaming Shona, who is also pregnant.

As the trailer draws to a close, Kevin and Abi Webster (Michael Le Vell and Sally Carman-Duttine) are searching for Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) at the crash site, while Robert (Ryan Hawley) is screaming for Aaron (Danny Miller) alongside Joe (Ned Porteous).

Corriedale, which is one hour long, will air at 8pm on January 5. It will not drop earlier in the day on ITVX.

Half hour episodes of both Emmerdale and Corrie will be shown at 7pm and then 7:30pm – these two instalments will be available on ITVX.

A number of clues have been added in both Coronation Street and Emmerdale so far, ahead of the crossover.

The first hint that dropped was a picture of John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), which featured in Corrie.

There’s also the fact Debbie is having her wedding organised by Take a Vow’s Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), and that Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) might be connected to a location in Yorkshire.

We’re getting closer to the huge event, and we cannot wait!
