This comes as Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny, has announced she’s leaving the popular ITV soap, having first appeared in 1986.
Sally, 55, shared the news on Instagram in August, leaving soap fans utterly heartbroken.
The actress wrote: “I was supposed to stay for five months but ended up doing an extra ten years because I loved it so much!
“It’s time though to play those parts I always hoped I would when I’d ‘grown up.’ Thanks Trafford Wharf Rd for the memories and endless laughter x.”
Sally initially appeared as Jenny Bradley on the cobbles from 1986 until 1991.
She made a brief comeback in 1993 before rejoining the cast permanently in 2015.
Viewers have been heartbroken by the announcement as they took to social media to express how much they’ll miss her character on the street.
