Coronation Street’s George is left in total shock as he makes a horrifying discovery

George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) looks set to stumble into the path of oncoming disaster next week as Coronation Street’s resident undertaker makes a discovery that shakes him to his very core.

George has been enjoying a spell as a heart throb recently, rivalling Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) for the number of ladies vying for his attention.

When girlfriend Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) decided to depart for Thailand alone, George found himself a little lost. Enter sister Glenda (Jodie Prenger), who set George up on a dating app.

His maiden voyage, however, turned out to be a bit of a disaster, when his date proved to much more interested in catching up with old friend Glenda than striking up a meaningful connection with poor George.

Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) took a shining to George after he showed his prowess with a hammer, fixing a leak in the Kabin and leaving her swooning, though she was crestfallen when her nemesis, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) turned up.

As Christina grabbed George’s attention for herself, Jenny bristled as George fell hook, line and sinker, leaving her out in the cold after her stunt with Christina’s husband’s coffin.

Next week, though, George’s attention is ripped from his recent romantic endeavours when he finds himself in the path of a stolen car, driven by Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) and Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey).

Dylan is brought into Carl’s car stealing racket by friend Brody, and the two set out to pilfer some high-end cars, eager to show Carl that they can make him some serious money, though Dylan is visibly more nervous than Brody.
