Coronation Street’s Carl finally caught out ahead of Debbie’s wedding
Carl Webster was finally caught out on Coronation Street, with one of his biggest and darkest secrets having the potential to be exposed ahead of Debbie’s wedding. With the big day coming up, could the family be in turmoil?
Carl has been quite the mischievous soul since his arrival on the cobbled streets of Weatherfield back in April, with the figure embarking on an affair with Abi, who was married to his half-brother Kevin.

To make matters worse, Carl had also been using Kevin’s garage as a front for his own crimes, which involved stealing cars and faking MOTs for a quick buck. After one theft, it was revealed that he was driving the car which struck down Tyrone Dobbs.
Thursday’s (1 January) episode of the ITV soap saw Debbie preparing for her upcoming wedding to Ronnie Bailey, with the beloved character being greeted by Sally, Glenda and Christina with a surprise party.
Kevin, meanwhile, was bonding with his son Jack as they filmed a dance for TikTok, with Sally popping by. She asked Kevin to refrain from confronting Carl at Debbie’s wedding, and he begrudgingly agreed for the sake of his family.
Kevin headed to the hotel to speak with Carl, who was cosying up with Abi. He said they needed to stay apart on the wedding day for Debbie’s sake, but quickly departed as Carl offered to have a more longstanding “truce”.
Carl later reflected on the temporary truce when speaking to Abi, but she has harboured doubts about Carl’s true intentions. After logging onto his banking app, she noticed that he had withdrawn a large sum of money.
Kevin later spoke with Jack about his geography project, which included drone footage of Weatherfield. As he looked at the film, he noticed that Carl had stolen a car – namely the one that hit Tyrone.
With Kevin discovering that Carl had even more secrets, will he be able to maintain his stance of a truce at Debbie’s wedding? Or will he unearth a truckload of secrets that will damage Carl’s reputation forever?
