Coronation Street reveals Sally’s new Tim rant – and it drives Carla mad
Coronation Street explores a mini-crisis for Sally and Tim Metcalfe’s marriage next week – with Lisa Swain and Carla Connor soon caught in the middle. Can they help to get things back on track for the Metcalfes?
The scenes play out when an emotional Sally arrives unexpectedly at No.6 with some post for Carla. But there’s an ulterior motive behind this personalised delivery, as she clearly wants someone to talk to.

After being invited to stay for a while, Sally opens up about recent problems in her marriage to Tim. And once she gets started, she can’t stop!
Lisa kindly provides a listening ear as Sally shares every woe, but is it all just a storm in a teacup?
“Fans of Sally and Tim needn’t worry – as the scenes are very funny,” our Corrie source shares. “Everyone knows they make a great couple, but they’re also very different and sometimes that causes problems at home.
“It seems that Sally just needs somewhere to vent for a while, and No.6 seems like the perfect place! After all, Lisa is no stranger to relationship issues recently so can probably relate…”
It’s not long before Carla – who’s also at No.6 – gets fed up with Sally’s moaning.
Taking decisive action, Carla gets in touch with Tim and orders him to come and get Sally before she drives them mad.
“Carla already has to put up with Sally at work, so this is all getting too much,” our spy says. “She hopes that if Tim comes along and makes amends, it’ll be to everyone’s benefit.
“Will Sally and Tim be back on track before the day is over? Carla certainly hopes so!”
Coronation Street’s producer Kate Brooks recently confirmed a bright future for Carla and Lisa after their twisted ordeal with Becky Swain.
Tim and Sally, meanwhile, have some darker issues ahead. The show is planning to revisit Tim’s past with Trisha Pinkerton, who started an inappropriate relationship with him when he was just 14.
“Tim will become involved in the Will and Megan story,” Brooks said recently. “It’ll be quite an instrumental part of that story as well. Tim will see Will and how young and vulnerable he actually is – and how wrong the situation is.
“He will start to realise that actually what happened to him wasn’t right and wasn’t acceptable. So we’ve got quite a way to go with it, but it’s going to be a really interesting journey to take Tim on.”
