Coronation Street provides key clue to how Theo could be caught out
Coronation Street has provided a key clue to how Theo Silverton could be caught out, as Todd Grimshaw takes action to document his domestic abuse. But will master manipulator Theo be able to worm his way out of trouble, despite the damning evidence?
In tonight’s episode, Todd struggled to manage Theo’s increasingly volatile behaviour, which saw him switching from supportive to irritated in just one conversation.
When Todd suggested the scaffolder saves his money, rather than treating him, Theo accused Todd of taking his unemployment frustrations out on him.
Later, Theo ‘gifted’ his boyfriend a new exercise bike and said he would be tracking his heart rate on his watch. As Todd breathlessly tried to reach Theo’s target, he was interrupted by Danielle, who revealed she was taking the kids to Tenerife for Christmas.

Terrified about Theo’s reaction, Todd tried to protest Danielle’s plan, but was undermined by the villain who calmly agreed with his ex-wife.
However, when the pair were alone, Theo blamed a confused Todd for not being able to see his kids, claiming he riled Danielle up before they could reach a compromise.
“I think you’re being deliberately cruel to make me feel bad about something that is not my fault,” declared an annoyed Todd, before he stormed out of the room.

The argument continued when Todd returned as he pointed out Theo’s temperamental and unfair behaviour, which he said he wouldn’t be putting up with anymore. Unfortunately, as he tried to leave, tearful Theo changed tact and began to hit himself.
Todd softened as Theo opened up about his mental health struggles, and the pair agreed to be honest with each other. Todd then went out to get dinner and returned with some framed photos of them together to cheer his boyfriend up.
In a surprise twist, the photo frames were actually revealed to be hidden cameras, which Todd placed around the flat when Theo popped out. Will the secret footage be used to catch Theo in the act?
Tonight’s scenes lay the groundwork for Todd and Theo’s upcoming special episode, which will be told through the perspective of the various cameras. The episode will feature doorbell, CCTV and police body cam footage as the authorities are called out to a shocking incident on the street.
