Coronation Street fans spotted the moment Becky Swain was ‘clocked’ as they think they’ve rumbled a plan to bring her down once and for all.

As fans will recall, DS Lisa Swain couldn’t comprehend what was happening back in September when Becky appeared in the living room of her new home, No.6 Coronation Street, having just moved in with new partner Carla Connor, before they then got engaged.

Those who follow the ITV soap have previously learned that Lisa’s wife had been killed in the line of duty four years ago, so her being face-to-face with her on their daughter, Betsy’s, 18th birthday came as quite the shock.

She has since been getting in between Lisa and Carla, with a clear intention to get her family back together – whatever it takes – while Costello has been seen putting her under pressure to return to Spain – until he was attacked and landed in the hospital.

During Monday’s (December 1) episode of Corrie, Lisa spotted Carla in the pub and went over to talk to her. Carla confirmed to Lisa that she had some viewings, to which Lisa mocked: “Fast work!” and Carla replied: “Well, I need somewhere to live.”

Lisa ended up sitting down and asked if they could talk, to which Carla suggested they had done enough of that already. She told her she loved her, but Carla couldn’t help but bring up spotting her looking cosy with Becky as they put up the Christmas decorations at what was supposed to be their family home, No.6.

Lisa became emotional as Carla said she didn’t want to hold her back from her family, and despite Lisa protesting that it was her she wanted, and not Becky, and that she was breaking her heart, Carla said: “I’ll be in touch about my stuff,” before leaving the pub altogether.

With her mum heartbroken, Betsy later seemingly appeared uncomfortable with Becky’s suggestion that they convince Lisa to go with them to Spain and be a happy family again.

But as we returned to the cobbles on Wednesday (December 3), Corrie fans were certain that Kit Green could be the key to Becky’s demise, which also follows the release of an upcoming scene in which the detective constable seemingly leads Becky to Carla, who is supposedly drinking herself silly in the factory.
