While Eva tried to draw a line under the episode, Maggie secretly warned Eva that she would never forgive her her for having an abortion when pregnant with Ben’s baby.

In new scenes set to air on Friday, 16 January, Eva has a catch up with Leanne, who is dealing with a crossroads in her life following her split from Nick.

Eva proposes that she should sell her share of Speed Daal and use the money to buy Maggie’s share of the Rovers.

How will Leanne respond to the idea, and how would Maggie react?

“Maggie has been nothing but trouble for Eva since she arrived,” our Corrie source said. “She’s been lording it over her family, as her money was used to get The Rovers and they wouldn’t be there without her.

“Maggie’s sure to feel pushed out if this deal went ahead – would she lose her influence over the family? And would she still be welcome to live at the pub?”

Last month, fans were given insight into Maggie’s dark past, with a flashback revealing that she killed her husband by pushing him down the stairs during a heated argument.

Speaking about potentially being seen as a cobbles villain, Maggie star Pauline McLynn told The Mirror in the aftermath of the flashback reveal: “Even if people think there’s terrible villainy afoot, we all love a villain, don’t we?

“As long as the audience is entertained by what she’s up to, I don’t mind whether they like her or not, as long as they want to know what happens next.”
