Coronation Street’s Becky Swain makes a nasty threat tonight as she vows a final revenge against Lisa and Carla. But does she still have leverage to use against the popular couple, or is she clutching at straws?

Fans were relieved this week as Becky was finally brought to justice in the dramatic Corriedale crossover special. She’s now awaiting trial in prison, where she’s clearly been plotting ways to cause further chaos

 

 

In Friday’s visit to the cobbles, Lisa desperately tries to make amends with Carla after the traumatic events of recent months. She admits her mistakes in trusting Becky, but it’s clear that Carla can’t forgive and forget easily.

Lisa then messes up by vowing to cut ties with Becky for good, when she pays a trip to the jail later. Rather than feeling reassured, Carla’s horrified that Lisa would even consider giving Becky the time of day after everything she’s done.

Despite Carla’s reaction, Lisa sticks to her guns by going to visit Becky. Sticking to her earlier promises, Lisa vows that she never wants to see Becky again after this – and hopes she rots in prison.

Sadly, Becky believes she still has one last card left to play – threatening to paint Lisa as an accessory to her corruption back in the day!

“Don’t go down this road – things could get very awkward,” Becky warns. “I can make you look like an accessory and a lot more besides.

“How do you think we paid off the mortgage in double-quick time? See, you didn’t ask any questions, because you didn’t want to know the answers.”

“I’m right, aren’t I?” she continues. “So now a jury’s going to have to decide whether you were just plain stupid, chose to believe me because it suited you, or whether you were up to your neck in it with Curtis just like me.

“And by the time I’m done on that stand, I know what my money will be on.”

Spoilers for next week have revealed that Lisa and Becky’s daughter Betsy will be outraged by the latest threats. She rushes down to the prison to give Becky some home truths, but will this be enough to get her to back off?
