Controversial Coronation Street star leaves the soap in explosive twist – and their final scenes will air next week

Coronation Street star Richard Winsor has waved goodbye to the Cobbles in an explosive twist – and his final scenes will air next week.

The actor, 43, joined the ITV soap as church clerk Noah Hedley back in May just weeks after it was revealed he was joining the cast.

His alter-ego has been involved in a shocking storyline involving trying to change Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) sexuality.

As viewers will know, scaffolder Theo revealed to his wife Danielle (Natalie Anderson) that he was gay after having an affair with Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce).

The evil cleric involved himself in Theo’s family life and has tried to manipulate the situation so that Danielle would be with him.

Viewers will no doubt be happy to see the back of him.

‘He was brought in as a guest star for a specific storyline and he’s knocked it out of the park playing such a twisted villain.

‘But the character will leave next week and it’s set to be explosive and spark fireworks on the cobbles.’

Coronation Street isn’t the only show that the actor has been in over the years.

He is arguably best known for playing Caleb Knight in medical drama Casualty and starred on the programme between 2014 and 2017.

Not only that, he’s starred in Hollyoaks, Royal Mob and The Machines That Built America.

He’s also had roles in Nutcracker!, StreetDance 3D and Swan Lake.

The actor, 24, has portrayed Aadi Alahan since April 2020 when he took over from Zennon Ditchett who had played the character for 11 years.

But earlier this year it was reported that Adam would be exiting the soap for ‘new pastures’, with his final episode airing on Tuesday.

Sharing a video after the scenes aired, Adam has already teased a possible return to the show and hinted that he is to star in some upcoming projects.

Adam said: ‘I just want to say thank you so much to everyone for watching Aadi on Corrie over the years. You know these past five years have been so educational and such an experience.

‘I’ve made friends that will last a lifetime and I’ve grown not just as an actor but as a person as well.

‘But I just want to say that it’s not goodbye forever. More like a see you later. And if you want to keep watching me, then I will be around in other stuff. So keep your eyes peeled.’
