Nearly two months after the actor announced a leave of absence for personal reasons on October 22, Flueger was spotted reuniting with his

castmates during an on-set birthday celebration. His return was revealed through an Instagram post shared by Marina Squerciati, who

wished her longtime co-star a happy birthday alongside photos featuring LaRoyce Hawkins and Benjamin Levy Aguilar gathered around a colorful cake reading “Happy Birthday Paddy.”

 

 

The moment was also captured in a short video posted to Squerciati’s Instagram Stories, showing the cast and crew serenading Flueger as he approached the cake. Additional behind-the-scenes photos shared earlier this month by Wolf Entertainment further suggest that Flueger has been back at work since early December.

 

 

Flueger has portrayed Adam Ruzek since 2014 and remains one of the show’s original cast members. His character was last seen in the October 29 episode, with his on-screen absence still unexplained.

 

 

 

The One Chicago universe is adding another familiar face as Jeanine Mason, best known for Roswell, New Mexico, joins Chicago Fire season 14 in an undisclosed role.
