Here’s when Casualty will return as the show goes off air again.
The BBC medical drama is in the middle of its current season, but thanks to sports playing havoc with the schedules, it’s taking a little break.
What to Read Next
There won’t be any episodes airing over the next two Saturdays (19 July and 26 July), meaning the next episode will air on Saturday, 2 August.
Casualty isn’t the only soap to be affected due to sports lately, the combination of the tennis at Wimbledon and UEFA Women’s European Championships has led to big schedule changes for EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
For example, this week’s EastEnders aired a double-bill on Wednesday, followed by single episodes on Thursday and Friday (although the iPlayer releases remained the same), while Corrie took a whole week off.

The latest episode of Casualty saw Iain and Teddy take on their first shift with HART (Hazardous Area Response Team). Things didn’t go to plan unfortunately, as Iain ended up in quarantine, while Teddy quit due to the stress, and ended the episode clutching his chest in pain.
Ngozi also continued to struggle with her alcoholism, but thanks to Dylan (who offered to become her sponsor), she attended an AA meeting and emotionally took the first step to recovery. On another positive note, Rash and Sunny finally agreed to go on a date.
