He gushes that she’s gorgeous. “Just like your mother.”Beth presses for dad to get her mother to come, so Liam sends a text. The child worries about Hope and Carter getting married. business is bustling. The bartender explains to Daphne that Deacon’s started up open mic night again for the first time since Tom’s death. Daphne texts Carter to see if he wants to join her if he doesn’t have plans with Hope.At Forrester, Hope puts Carter off by saying they should probably do some planning before getting married. Unrelenting he says, “Let’s do some planning then.” Hope then gets a text from Liam and Carter realizes she wants to be with him and Beth tonight.

The atmosphere turns a smidge tense as Carter points out it’s a daddy/daughter dance and she’s not exactly obligated. Reverting to good guy mode, he urges her to go and be with her family. He goes on about the memories they’ll make and how lucky Beth is to have them as parents.

Accepting the inevitable, Carter declares that it’s obvious now… “Give your daughter what she wants. Give her her parents back. That’s what’s in your heart.” Hope cries as he removes her engagement ring, kisses her, and says, “Goodbye.”At Brooke’s place, Liam’s set up punch, cookies and balloons, much to Beth’s delight. But she’s still focused on her mother making it there in time for sunset. Soon, they get to dancing.At Il Giardino, Daphne is crooning on the open mic when Carter walks in. He’s clearly intrigued by seeing her perform and sits to watch. Daphne spots him and he smiles.
