CAR TROUBLE Horrified Coronation Street star reveals his car has been ‘smashed up’ in Manchester after he moved from Hollywood
CORONATION Street star Jonathan Howard has been left horrified after his car was smashed up in Manchester.
The actor – who plays Carl Webster in the ITV soap – joined the cobbles earlier this year after moving back to the UK from Hollywood.

Coronation Street star Jonathan Howard’s car was broken into this week
Carl Webster and James Bailey in a hotel room.
The star’s hedonistic character is currently having two affairs on the cobbles
But he may have lived to regret it after parking his car in the northern city and coming back to find his back windows smashed in.
Thieves operating in the area regularly smash windows for a quick opportunistic heist.
Posting a picture of his car with the damage, Jonathan wrote: “Nice little welcome back gift from the Manchester scallies.”
The actor has made a splash on the cobbles since arriving earlier this year as the much-mentioned but never before seen younger brother of Kevin and Debbie Webster.
He quickly seduced his brother’s wife Abi, before turning his business into a dodgy garage doing fake MOTs.
And he’s recently branched out into stolen cars in an effort to make money to pay off Tracy Barlow’s blackmail after she worked out he was sleeping with Abi.
But last month fans were left stunned when it was revealed that Carl was having another affair – this time with former footballer James Bailey.
Jonathan said: “Carl likes living life on the edge, he is a hedonist and a free spirit, he is attracted to a person regardless of their gender and if he sees something he wants he goes for it with no real thought to the consequences of his actions.
“He is frustrated that Abi has gone away with Kevin and he needs something to distract himself.
“There is a spark between him and James so he goes for it.
“Tracy was also offering herself to him but he isn’t stupid and he knows that would be a dangerous move, James on the other hand is less complicated and more fun.”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 7.30pm and is available to watch on ITV Player from 7am.
