Coronation Street has updated fans on the whereabouts of Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) after a month of absence and it’s good news for fans.

The popular character hasn’t been seen since September after he and Carla Connor (Alison King) left the eponymous Street to attend a funeral back in Ireland.

Carla, as viewers know, returned to the cobbles last week but she did so alone, leaving fans wondering where Ryan has vanished to.

Carla clarified during the episode in question (Thursday, October 30), that Ryan will be staying in Ireland for a bit longer but an unexpected update came on Monday (November 3) as Ryan returned to our screens.

And Carla had much to update him on as No. 6 – where he resides – was home to plenty of drama in his absence.

While Carla was in Ireland, scheming Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) seized the opportunity to worm her way back into ex Lisa’s (Vicky Myers) life, determined to win back Lisa and daughter Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin).

When Carla returned home, Becky wasted little time in letting her know she had stayed on the sofa in her absence, leaving Carla suspicious.

The situation escalated when Carla uncovered a video of Becky and Lisa modelling Betsy’s college designs and, with the Underworld owner having left the Halloween party early, Becky decided to take advantage, putting her plan to win back Lisa into action.

Horrified, Lisa raced home to tell Carla what had unfolded, with the businesswoman seeing red as she headed to the Rovers and called out Becky’s scheming, warning her that she’d be better off being dead again if she ever goes near Lisa again.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Becky, however, it’s that she’s not going to give up without a fight!

Carla, meanwhile, found herself struggling to come to terms with what had happened and, despite Lisa assuring her that she’s only has eyes for her, it’s clear that the situation left her somewhat rattled.

In Monday’s visit to the Street, Ryan calms Carla down over her fears about Becky as he returns home. Carla appreciates the support as he is updated on what’s been going on.
