harebrained scheme she comes up with won’t be half as effective as the one she should be hatching with her secret weapon: mom Poppy.

 

 

Since poor Poppy is a character whose personality changes depending on what the writers want her to be on any given day, she has gone from free spirit to reputed Worst Mother of Ever to unrepentant scheme queen. Remember her reaction to the fact that Luna had gotten herself knocked up by Richie Rich Will? “Well done,” Poppy smiled.

 

 

So if now the show has decided that Poppy is a gold digger — at this point, why not? — she could team up with Luna to explain away her homicidal tendencies. Poppy could throw herself at the mercy of the court, saying for years she ignored her daughter’s mental problems. “She heard voices,” Poppy would cry. “But I never heard hers. I didn’t get her the help that she needed.”

 

 

In the real world, of course, that would never fly. But on Bold & Beautiful, where Bill can get a killer like Luna released into his care just because he wants her to be and Deacon can get Sheila sprung just because a judge owes him, it’s almost logical.

Poppy could step in and offer to whisper how much being away from Will is affecting Luna and her pregnancy — for a cut of the megabucks her daughter will come into if she actually manages to marry the Spencer heir.
