#BoldAndBeautiful fans are all saying the same thing about the ‘new’ Ivy: ‘It’s not proper.’
We’ve written before about how utterly confused we are by the way that Bold & Beautiful is writing Ivy Forrester these days — catch up
here — and after the January 28 episode, it would appear that we are not alone in our befuddlement. After the luminous Ashleigh Brewer’s
character glimpsed Will and Dylan in a compromising position, she sounded like no one so much as the Dowager Countess from Downton Abbey when she muttered to herself, “It’s not proper. It’s not proper at all.”

“WTH is going on here?” we all asked in unison. “When did Ivy become Mary Poppins?” RastaLiam99 quipped on Reddit. “She’s been possessed by the spirit of Aly Forrester,” suggested Slashman78, “judging from that quote.”
“When she said the line,” chuckled LynnK0919, “I was wondering if she was wearing a corset commonly worn by women in the Victorian Age.”
Little_Red_Sloth admitted that, “As terrible as this was, me and my mom laughed so hard. It’s my new catchphrase. ‘It’s not proper!’”
All kidding aside, maybe we’re just remembering Ivy as being more lighthearted and openminded than she was. You’ll recall that she was close with prudish Aly and did love passing judgment on Hope (even going so far as to accuse her of being just like mom Brooke). Ivy was also quick to confront Rick after catching him kissing Maya while he was with Caroline.
On the other hand, Ivy isn’t in any position to judge… well, anyone — not after she blackmailed Thomas in hopes of being made the face of Forrester Creations and kissed both Thomas and Liam while dating Wyatt. She wasn’t always quite so holier-than-thou.
