“That was like soap bread and butter for a really long time,” he adds. “But I don’t think we live in that world anymore. We’re at a place now where that’s not only not attractive but beginning to be unattractive.”

What that means isn’t necessarily that Liam will never again feel a tug on his heart in both Steffy and Hope’s directions. “It just means when I’m playing Liam, I’m recognizing that I’m not playing the hero, I’m playing that [bleep] that we all know and tolerate, but we wish that he treated women better.”
