‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Star, 64, Goes Makeup Free on Her Birthday
The Bold and the Beautiful star celebrated the special occasion on Friday, July 25. In addition to sharing a bevy of birthday wishes via her Instagram Story, she also posted a video of herself being embraced by her loved ones while still in her pajamas.
“I love my morning happy birthday hugs!!” she captioned the clip, in which she appeared to be fresh from bed with no makeup and tousled hair.

Lang — who has played Brooke Logan on the CBS soap opera since 1987 — also marked the milestone with a gushing Instagram post.

“It’s my birthday … and I’m laughing my way into another beautiful year,” she wrote on Friday. “Feeling so grateful for all the love, the lessons and the incredible support from each of you — you truly make my life fuller and brighter.”
“The secret to enduring success is a mélange of a lot of different elements,” she explained to Numéro Netherlands in April. “Head writer Brad Bell knows how to strike a balance between keeping the show new and exciting and also giving the viewers the same great stories they’ve always known and loved. The show is about a glamorous, successful fashion family in Los Angeles. The characters are unforgettable, and the plot twists are jaw-dropping. The fashion featured on the show is gorgeous, and there are a lot of mysteries. You never know when one of the many delicious secrets will be compromised and then which lives will be shattered.”
Of her character, she added: “Through it all, Brooke has a heart of gold, and no matter what, the Forrester family always triumphs.”
During her decades on the soap opera, Lang has seen several factors change behind the scenes to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
“We keep shooting the scenes in less time. And the storyline reveals have sped up as well,” she noted. “But what stays the same is the broadcast schedule. Five days a week, Monday through Friday, with a cliffhanger on Fridays. Now there are several cliffhangers throughout the week and maybe three on Fridays.”
General Hospital fans just got the best news. Beloved fan favorite Kirsten Storms is back to filming the ABC soap as Maxie Jones.
The news comes a few months after Storms revealed that a health crisis forced her to take a leave from General Hospital, during which her character, Maxie, was written into a coma last summer.

Storms Teases Her General Hospital Return
In an Instagram share, Storms shared a blurry photo of her looking fabulous in front of a mirror with positive sayings, “Throw Kindness Like Confetti” and “Be brilliant,” posted on it.
“Boom. 2026 already…that was fast. Back at work! Seriously missing my BugBug though. California doesn’t feel right without her here. 🌙💕🌊 @generalhospitalabc #gh,” the actress wrote in the caption.
BugBug is her daughter, Harper, with her former General Hospital co-star and ex-husband, Brandon Barash. Along with her break from the show, Storms made a major life change and moved to Nashville last year, from where she will commute to film the ABC soap.

Peavey, of course, was referring to the sparks flying between Nathan and Maxie’s best friend, Lulu (Alexa Havins). When Maxie wakes up, she’ll have plenty to process—not just Nathan’s return and his growing feelings for Lulu, but also Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) being back in the mix.
And since Storms is back to filming, fans will get to see Maxie again very soon. Soap Opera Digest has reported that Storms’ character will be back on-screen starting Thursday, Feb. 12, just in time for sweeps month.

Maxie waking up and learning that Nathan’s alive is just the kind of classic sweeps-month moment that General Hospital has utilized in the past, so the timing works out perfectly.
A Warm Welcome Back From Fans
Fans flooded Storms’ Instagram post to share their excitement over her return. “I’m glad Maxie is back I’m hoping Maxie and Nathan gets back together this year,” shared a fan.
Another fan added, “Soo happy that you’re feeling well enough to return,” as many others chimed in, “You have been missed!!!” “We missed you!” and “Omg yay!! ❤️❤️❤️.”
General Hospital star Braedyn Bruner (Emma) also appeared in the comment section to let Storms know how much she was missed on set.
The wait is almost over for Storms and her alter ego, Maxie, to be back in the middle of the Port Charles chaos. Be ready as General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
