Becky Strikes: Coronation Street’s Deadly Plot Against Costello Unfolds
Coronation Street’s Becky tries to kill Costello as Kit rumbles his attacker
Coronation Street lines up a shocking murder plan next week, while one character possibly teams up with another as they get closer to the truth about an attack on the ITV soap
There’s more drama on Coronation Street next week in the fallout to DI Costello’s attack.
As he remains in hospital in a coma, his attacker appears to be unmasked. But in sinister scenes, the culprit returns to finish the job, only to be caught out.
It seems someone was ordered to attack Costello, and Becky Swain is clearly hiding something. Lisa Swain tells her ex Becky they may have traced the lad who attacked Costello and he goes by the name of Soap.
She makes out she hasn’t heard of them, but soon meets up with the person they are after, with Soap having Costello’s burner and personal phone after the assault. As police sirens are heard, are they in trouble?
It seems not for Becky, as she soon tries to kill Costello to silence him. Lisa tells Becky the doctors are bringing Costello out of his induced coma, so she heads to the hospital.
Checking the coast is clear, Becky grabs a syringe and it’s clear she is intent on killing him before he regains consciousness. But Lisa walks in on her, so will she realise what’s going on and will Becky be exposed?
Someone, perhaps two people, are already onto her either way. Kit Green tells Carla Connor that he knows Becky is involved in the attack on Costello but without Costello’s phone, it’s going to be difficult to prove.
Becky has the devices, and she’s soon talking to Costello’s daughter in an attempt to get the passcode to gain access. When Kit tells Lisa they’ve managed to locate Costello’s phone, will they get it in time and will Becky manage to get rid of whatever it is she needs to?
As for Swarla after their sad split, Lisa tells Carla that despite what she thinks, it’s her she wants to be with. Will Carla be swayed after calling time on their romance?
Also next week, Debbie Webster panics when she can’t access her laptop to access her notes for her speech for the Women in Business event. Unable to remember the password, just after giving access to her dodgy brother Carl Webster, she decides to instead give a heartfelt speech.
She explains how she’s been diagnosed with dementia, what that means for her future and how she intends to fight it all the way. Elsewhere, Roy Cropper is unnerved about something, and when Shona and Nina look into the matter he loses his rag.
Dee-Dee Bailey dumps Ollie Driscoll, while Eva Price and Maria Connor find their feud reignited. Finally, Daniel Osbourne sets his sights on newcomer Megan, leaving Will gutted.
