As Young & Restless’ Nick stares down Matt Clark, Joshua Morrow tackles a real-life threat: “Be smart.” #YR

It seems not a week goes by without a fake account trying to impersonate a soap star. It’s been an ongoing issue where some fans have been

taken advantage of and the latest daytime star to give everyone a heads up about a recent interaction on social media is The Young and the

Restless’ Joshua Morrow, who plays Nick — a man on a mission to stop Mitch, who happens to be posing as a fake himself.

Young & Restless' Sharon Case Talks Working With Joshua Morrow

It all started when a fake X account going by the name of joshuamorrow507 engaged with a soap fan in the comments under an old photo of Morrow’s son Crew (The Bold and the Beautiful’s Will) from 2017 when his son had landed in the hospital after a sports injury.

The original post from the CBS soap star stated, “I love having hyper athletic boys who are fearless… downside is the emergency rooms have the Morrows on speed dial.”

A fan, EliteLynn, replied back in 2017, “Bless his Heart… hope he feels better soon…from South Georgia,” and on November 12 of this year, the fake joshuamorrow507 account replied, “Thank you so much my beloved fan, I want you to support on his medicine bills.”

This comment caused the real Morrow to stand up and not only point out the fake account but to remind all fans of something very important. “This is a fake,” Morrow warned then went on to stress, “Nobody on our show or anyone in the public eye is going to do that. Be smart.”

Morrow isn’t the only actor who has had to step forward and give these warnings. Mark Grossman, who plays his onscreen brother Adam, sent an extreme word of caution back in August. So fans, please, like Morrow stated, “be smart,” and do not engage with these fake accounts.
