As Sophia Lays Low, the Rest of Salem Compare Notes to Figure Out Her ‘Diabolical’ Plans — and Prepare to Expose Her!
Johnny and Chanel come upon Leo and Javi pushing Tesoro through the square, but Chanel freaks out and runs off. Johnny stops her outside the Pub and promises they’ll clear their names. And look who’s there to help them!
Brady walks out of the Pub and they all compare notes about Holly and Sophia — with Brady calling her plan “diabolical!” (And he should know with some of the women he’s gotten mixed up with.)

He says Sophia called out sick, but warns against confronting her and tipping her off. They agree, and Johnny offers up their theory that Tesoro is Brady’s grandson. But Brady says the DNA test wasn’t a match… but what if Tate just isn’t the father!
Will Leo and Javi Keep Tesoro?
Back in the square, Leo and Javi wonder why the couple freaked out so much. They run into Ari, who’s got more trash bag laundry, then head home to figure out what’s going on with Johnny and Chanel. Whatever it is, it might be a good thing if they get to keep Tesoro for Halloween! They both picked up costumes for him.
Sarah stops Kayla in the hospital to ask for advice on her moral dilemma. When she starts talking about what’s going on with Sophia, Kayla fills her in on what she knows about testing Tesoro’s DNA. Sarah responds by telling Kayla that Sophia gave birth early… and just stands up and walks away! (Dramatic much?)
She’s just getting coffee, though, so Kayla says the DNA tests weren’t a match. So? Sarah finishes her tale with the news that the baby’s not Tate’s! Kayla’s face is a priceless mix of ,“You’ve got to be kidding me” and, “Of course he isn’t.”
Sarah’s testing Sophia’s DNA right now, but whatever happens, Sophia won’t tell Tate the truth. Kayla warns they’ve already pushed the limits of what’s permissible, so they just have to wait for the DNA tests to come back. Then Brady walks in.
Will Tate Stop Sulking?
Aaron sneaks into his and Tate’s room, excited to tell him about getting a job as a ghost tour guide! But Tate’s all pouty and wants him to go away. He insists he and Holly are over for good, but Aaron just laughs. They’ve been doing this over and over again, they’ll be fine.
And if not, Aaron throws some harsh (but very valid!) truth at him. “It’s probably for the best.” Tate’s so offended, he starts yelling until Aaron snaps at him to either stop wallowing or go find Holly. That gets more sulking. “I don’t deserve her.”
Tate fills Aaron in on everything starting with the bookstore fight that seems like it had to have happened weeks ago… Do these two never talk? Or was that like a day ago, Salem time? Optimist Aaron encourages him to look at the future instead of bemoaning the present.
Is This Really the End of Holly?
Holly lets her mom know her flight’s on time, but she looks absolutely miserable when she hangs up the phone. She perks up, though, when Ari shows up with the trash bag full of Holly’s clothes.
Holly’s still upset that she lost her phone and everything on it, so Ari promises to ask Sophia; which is when Holly learns Sophia was there the night of her blackout! The two say some fresh goodbyes before Ari leaves Holly once again looking miserable. Girl, just don’t go if you don’t want to!
In the Show’s Final Moments
Tate’s looking wistfully through photos of him and Holly, fully ignoring Aaron’s advice when Ari drops off his jacket from the fire. She needles him about Sophia, but he gets all confused when she accuses him of doing more than kissing. They work out that Sophia made it seem like the two of them slept together, so Tate tries running out to talk to Holly. He can’t. Unless… Ari tells him Holly’s dropping out of school and moving to Paris. “You’ve got to stop her!”
