All we know about mysterious Jasmine so far as she hides big secret in EastEnders

Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) has been a woman of mystery ever since arriving on Albert Square in EastEnders last month, but one thing is clear – she is definitely hiding something.

The young woman has been exceptionally cagey whenever anyone has asked her personal questions, but hasn’t held back from trying to dig for information herself.

She has shown a particular interest in her new boss, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), and has tried to learn as much about her as possible from love interest Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier).

In recent scenes, Jasmine was involved in a terrifying ordeal when she was mowed down by Nigel Bates’ (Paul Bradley) car.

Just before passing out from her injuries, Jasmine made some cryptic comments about a woman who had ‘ruined everything’, though we have yet to discover who she meant.

In the aftermath of the accident, Jasmine was willing to go so far as to keep up the lie Julie Bates (Karen Henthorn) had started that Nigel wasn’t driving the car in a bid to protect her own secret – but just what is so secretive that she’s willing to give up getting justice for herself?

Viewers aren’t the only ones convinced that Jasmine is hiding something, with Oscar set to make it his mission to get to the bottom of her secrets next week.

As Jasmine’s secret remains a mystery for the time being, let’s dive into what we do know about her so far.

Who is Jasmine?
Though she has introduced herself as Jasmine Fisher, we get the impression that she might not be being entirely truthful.

After securing her role as a barmaid at The Albert, Jasmine was told she needed to give Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) some proof of ID in order for her to be officially employed with the company.

However, Jasmine made excuses about how disorganised she is, and claimed not to have the documents available. This, of course, struck us as very suspicious.

Could she be hiding her real identity?

Where is Jasmine from and why the move to Walford?
Jasmine moved to Walford in September and it was revealed that she had previously lived in Croydon.

When Oscar asked her if she had made the move to look for something or to escape from something, Jasmine cryptically responded that it might be both.

She also admitted that she wanted to put distance between her and her family.

What was Jasmine’s family life like?
Though we don’t know much about Jasmine’s family, we know that she moved away to avoid joining the family business.

With Jasmine being deliberately vague about what said business is, Elaine and Cindy have decided that it must be something criminal.

In the aftermath of the car accident, we learnt that Jasmine didn’t want her mother to come to the hospital, as she didn’t want ‘to cause a fuss’.

This struck both Oscar and George Knight (Colin Salmon) as strange, with Oscar wondering who wouldn’t want their mum by their side in hospital and George questioning what kind of mother wouldn’t ignore the request to stay away.
