Next week on Coronation Street, Abi Webster’s world completely falls apart when Carl — the man she left her husband Kevin for — announces that he’s leaving Weatherfield for Germany, forcing Abi to face the devastating reality of everything she’s lost.

After surviving a cancer battle, Kevin Webster had hoped life was finally turning a corner. But his dreams of peace were shattered when he discovered that his wife, Abi, had not only been unfaithful — but that her affair was with his own brother, Carl. The betrayal tore the Webster family apart, leaving Kevin broken and alone. He tried everything to save his marriage, even going as far as lying about his health by claiming his cancer had returned, desperate to keep Abi from walking away. But when Abi learned the truth, she stayed only for their son Alfie’s sake, all while secretly continuing her affair.

The shocking revelation finally came to light thanks to Tracy Barlow, who caught wind of the affair and began blackmailing Abi and Carl. When they refused to meet her demands, Carl lashed out — vandalizing Tracy’s shop and threatening her father, Ken, to silence them both.

Kevin’s heartbreak deepened when Abi finally confessed she wanted a divorce. Although she left out any mention of Carl, the truth soon came out during Ronnie Bailey’s birthday celebration, where all the key players — Kevin, Abi, and Carl — found themselves in one explosive confrontation. Abi accidentally sent Kevin a text meant for Carl, confirming the affair. Carl managed to delete the message from Kevin’s phone, but Kevin later discovered it on Alfie’s tablet, and the fallout was immediate.

Abi packed her bags and left, moving in with Carl at a local hotel, but the affair that had cost her everything quickly began to fall apart. Carl, wracked with guilt over betraying his brother, became distant and restless. When an unexpected job offer in Germany appeared, he saw it as his chance for escape. Despite Abi’s pleas for him to stay and build a new life together, Carl made the painful decision to leave Weatherfield behind — and her with it.

In heartbreaking scenes set to air next week, Abi tries to act strong as she helps Carl pack his bags, but when he finally drives away, her composure crumbles. Standing alone outside the hotel, she breaks down in tears, realizing that in her search for passion and excitement, she’s destroyed the one person who truly loved her.

Meanwhile, Kevin’s struggle continues. Though he tries to move forward, the pain of Abi’s betrayal and Carl’s departure cuts deep. When Debbie urges him to forgive Abi for Alfie’s sake, Kevin admits that he can’t — not yet. The scars run too deep.

Elsewhere, tension rises between Abi and Debbie when they cross paths at the garage. Debbie doesn’t hold back, accusing Abi of “burning her life to the ground for nothing.” Abi, shattered, can only agree. Her affair has cost her her marriage, her reputation, and now, the man she sacrificed everything for.

The emotional episode will leave fans wondering whether Abi can ever redeem herself — and whether Kevin will one day find it in his heart to forgive her.

Producer Iain MacLeod teased that this is “a turning point” for Abi: “This storyline will see her truly hit rock bottom. But as we know, Abi is a fighter — and her journey to rebuild her life is only just beginning.”
