As Jack and Diane sit at Society worrying about whether Victor will attack Jabot, the Mustache is at the ranch updating Adam on Noah. Talk turns to Newman Media cutting Cane off at the knees, and Adam asks if his father has taken steps to cripple Jabot yet.

Over at the Athletic Club, Lily ends a call with Devon when she spots Cane. She joins her ex, who asks if she thinks the kids miss him at all.

Lily assures him they do, but they still feel betrayed. They bicker about the AI software and Lily’s appalled to hear he doesn’t know who

 

 

stole it and can’t control the situation.Lily rants at Cane at length about the potential fallout. He’s well aware and it keeps him up at night. Lily wonders if he’s only upset because he’s not the one wreaking havoc. Cane insists the whole thing makes him sick. Lily warns if Victor

 

 

and Phyllis are working together, they are all sitting ducks. Cane reveals he’s going to offer the Mustache a deal.Claire walks into Crimson Lights as Kyle is about to leave to catch his flight to L.A. She’s followed by Holden. He learns they took the Newman jet back together. Kyle wants to speak to Claire alone, but she declines. Undeterred, Kyle coaxes her into coming to the house to see Harrison.

 

 

Kyle steps away and Claire apologizes to Holden, who asks her for dinner. Claire won’t commit, but they’ll touch base in a couple of hours. Novak watches forlornly as Claire leaves with Kyle and flashes to their lovemaking in L.A.

 

 

At Society, Jack warns Diane that Victor is patient and will lie in wait to catch them off guard. Diane crabs that they’ve been reduced to pawns in his power play, but then suggests he hasn’t made a move because he doesn’t have Cane’s software. Talk turns to Kyle and Claire. Their son will have to pull out all the stops to get her back. Diane wonders what Claire would think of Victor’s plans to attack the Abbotts. Jack warns his wife not to get involved in Kyle’s relationship.

At the ranch, Victor tells Adam he’s not making a move on Jabot for the time being. Ashby warned the Abbotts, so he’s holding off. Adam smirks about his pops letting them stew and sweat. Victor warns when the time comes, Adam will have to create an enormous distraction. “I want you to be very creative.”

As Adam paces, Victor senses he’s reluctant to go after Jack. Adam says he feels that way personally, but business is business. Adam still can’t get his mind around Victor waiting to use the AI. The Mustache says Phyllis gave him the keys to the kingdom and he’s going to use it in a massive way. He won’t tell his son his plan… but teases that Cane will soon wish he never returned to Genoa City.Claire and Kyle greet Harrison at the Abbott manse, where the kid complains about her missing Halloween. He then regales her with hockey tales and shows off an impressive bruise. Claire and Kyle exchange a smile.

Things turn awkward when the kid asks who Claire went with to Los Angeles with and Claire just says, “A friend.” Keeping things uncomfortable, Harrison wants to know if she went to Disneyland and whether she went on any rides. Claire makes it clear she had a great time.

Outside Society, Jack and Diane are still going on about Kyle and Claire. Jack’s sure they’re destined to be together. Diane thinks Kyle believes that… but does Claire?

At the Abbott house, Claire tells Kyle it’s not his business who she spends her time with since they’re not together right now. Kyle gripes, “But, Holden…” Claire rolls her eyes as Kyle lectures that it’s not in her best interests to hang around Novak. Claire says it’s her decision to make, but Kyle realizes she has doubts about the guy.

Holden catches up with Audra at the Club bar and warns her to steer clear of Claire, who knows about their past. Audra hisses, “How much did you tell her? And what exactly did you tell her about me?!” Beside herself, Audra can’t understand his reasons for doing this. Holden tries to calm her down as she rants about him wanting to hurt her; he gave Claire ammunition against her! She fumes, “How dare you put me in jeopardy that way?!”
