#YR’s former Noah knows just what bit of unfinished business the show should pick up when his recast debuts, and we are *here* for it. See if you agree it’s not a good idea but a great one:
The Young and the Restless’ cast remix continues. On September 3, TV Insider broke the news that the CBS soap had hired its third Noah
Newman in five years. Lucas Adams, formerly Tripp on Days of Our Lives, has been tapped to take over the role that was previously played
by Rory Gibson (now Michael on General Hospital), Robert Adamson (previously a substitute Michael on General Hospital), Kevin Schmidt and FBI: International’s Luke Kleintank.

Adams’ casting comes on the heels of word that Emmy winners Roger Howarth, seen last as Austin on General Hospital, and Tamara Braun, who was Tripp’s mom Ava on Days of Our Lives, had been added to the Young & Restless lineup. Here’s all we know so far about who those MVPs will be playing and when they’ll first hit the screen

Perhaps since the show is bringing Noah back after two years abroad — and without girlfriend Allie, it sounds like — it will finally revisit the character’s supposedly torrid past with vixen Audra, whose life was recently blown up by her ill-advised alliance with untrustworthy Victor.
Upon hearing that his old role had been recast, Gibson told Soap Opera Digest that Noah and Audra’s connection was the plot that he most hoped Young & Restless would twist. The actor recalled that when he moved to Genoa City, the characters “started kind of a heavy story, and then it kind of just faded away… So I’m very curious to see what they’re gonna do with that.”
