Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will be blackmailed about a story he publishes. Considering Chad and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) were once involved, is Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark) up to his old tricks?

Jeremy participated in dubious financial schemes and trafficked women from the UK for sex work, among other crimes he committed.

 

 

Jeremy also exhibited abusive behavior, and during one incident, he nearly drowned Stephanie by submerging her head in a hot tub.

To escape legal consequences for his numerous offenses, he left Salem, but he has now made his return-he claims to have changed for the better, but has he?

Jeremy showed up at Stephanie’s door and tried to convince her he wasn’t the man he was before he left town. Stephanie was afraid of him-and remains afraid that he will recognize himself in her book, and figure out she’s the author!

 

 

Jeremy Was Fixated On Stephanie, And She Fears That He Still Is-Might He Act Out?
Jeremy was fixated on Stephanie in the past, and she fears that he still is-might he act out, and cause harm to her friends and family? She’s not real comfortable with him being Thomas DiMera’s (Cary Christopher) substitute teacher either, when she hears about that.

She considers warning Chad about what she knows about Thomas’ teacher, but she’s afraid that will only make things worse-she didn’t even tell Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) the whole truth.

 

 

She didn’t want him to start trouble with Jeremy, because the trouble Jeremy would bring Alex wouldn’t be worth it-especially not when Alex threatened to go after him if he’d hit her!

Needless to say, she doesn’t believe Jeremy when he claims he changed for the better, and that he’d never go back to a life of crime!

Chad Publishes A Story About Stephanie’s Book, Still Not Knowing Anastasia Sands Is Stephanie!
Chad publishes a story about “One Stormy Night”, only he still doesn’t know Stephanie is Anastasia Sands-and it’s simply a book review. But he quotes the section that refers to Jeremy and his past-even though the character’s name is a pseudonym as well as the author’s!

But instead of simply suing for libel or some form of legal recourse like that, the offended party blackmails Chad, and demands a huge payoff!

The blackmailer doesn’t reveal who he or she is, but simply directs Chad to put a bag full of a million dollars cash in a certain spot, or “he will pay dearly” per the note.

Is Jeremy up to his old tricks, possibly putting Thomas and maybe Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron) in danger, or is this blackmailer someone else entirely?
