Taylor Sheridan’s Best Non-Yellowstone Show With 78% RT Score Finally Releases Season 2 Trailer
The hit series starring Billy Bob Thornton in the leading role premiered in November 2024, and it was a quiet hit. Although it received
encouraging reviews, the show’s true popularity continued well after Season 1 wrapped in January. Landman Season 2 will be even more dramatic and explosive, as highlighted by the official trailer.

In the clip, Demi Moore’s Cami is still grieving her husband, Monty (Jon Hamm), who shockingly passed away in the Season 1 finale. However, she can’t just mourn him because she has to take care of the family’s oil business. Her succession to the throne of the M-Tex oil company leads to the investors to second-guess her abilities. However, Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris won’t have it, as he navigates the tricky politics as the M-Tex oil CEO.
“I run the company. She owns it,” Tommy after Cami is labeled Monty’s “trophy wife” and her skills questioned. “If you wanna fight about it, lawyer up, big boy. Let’s go.”
Even though she’s grieving, Cami knows what she wants: “I want success,” she tells Tommy who doesn’t understand why she doesn’t let him sell the company. “Get it for me.”
As Tommy puts it: “In this business, you have to know the rules of the game before you can bend ’em. And if you don’t, you lose all of it.”

Cami and Tommy are not the only ones who get the spotlight in the Landman Season 2 trailer. His ex-wife, Angela (Ali Larter) is also a part of the clip, showing her wrath after his transgressions, as well as their son, Cooper, and Sam Elliott, who made his first appearance in the first teaser trailer. He is set to play Tommy’s father.
It’s a great time to be a Taylor Sheridan fan. After one of its underrated shows, Lioness, received a renewal, Paramount+ treated fans to the official trailer for Landman.

Although her husband, Monty, was an important player in Season 1, Cami is stepping up in Season 2. This gives Oscar-nominated actress Demi Moore a chance to shine and flaunt a Southern accent.
“Since [Moore’s character] doesn’t really know the oil business that well, I’m there with her to show her how these people operate,” Thornton teased about her bigger role in Season 2. “You can know something intellectually, but what are the street smarts behind it? I know how to deal with these people she’s going to have to deal with.”
Landman is one of Taylor Sheridan’s most popular non-Yellowstone projects. Although the show has just premiered and will return with Season 2, it’s likely that Landman has the potential for a franchise. Paramount+ hasn’t revealed any plans for a spinoff, but considering the show has been constantly in the Top 10 of the streaming charts, the interest in the new universe is high.
