Welcome Back! Two Beloved Former Young & Restless Cast Members Say ‘I Do’ to Returns

“Here comes the bride” is all well and good, but at the moment, we’re more excited about “Here come the wedding guests” — in particular, two beloved fan favorites.
Young & Restless veterans Tricia Cast and Patty Weaver will be reprising their roles of Christine’s bestie Nina Webster and Danny’s sister Gina Roma for episodes surrounding the couple’s November nuptials, Soap Opera Digest reports. (You’ll recall that the duo’s first stab at marriage was cut short by the pop singer’s obsessed “superfan” Phyllis!)

Cast, who joined the show in 1986 and won a Daytime Emmy half a dozen years later, last passed through Genoa City in early 2024. This will be Nina’s first visit since the tragic deaths of sons Ronan off screen and Chance on. (Of course, the latter’s portrayer Conner Floyd won’t be MIA for long; Days of Our Lives has tapped him to replace Young & Restless‘ new Cane, Billy Flynn, as Chad.)
Weaver has been a part of the Young & Restless family even longer than Cast. She made her debut as singer/restaurateur Gina in 1982 and last popped up in Genoa City on the occasion of the soap’s 50th anniversary. If only the character had tied the knot with sometime beau John Abbott, she could be knee-deep in Jabot drama now!
