Tulsa King Meets Yellowstone: Cole Hauser’s New Series With Sylvester Stallone Is a Goldmine
Taking a step away from the Yellowstone fame, one of the series’ lead actors, Cole Hauser, is now prepping to work on a new TV adaptation
of author Doug J. Swanson’s novel, titled Blood Aces. According to Deadline, the following project is being undertaken by MGM Television and Hauser’s own production company, American Outlaw Entertainment.

At the same time, the project brings in Sylvester Stallone in an executive position through his company, Balboa Productions. With the star currently shooting Tulsa King for Paramount, his involvement with the project is a welcome surprise alongside Hauser, who is also set to lead the series as the main protagonist.
It might not be the Yellowstone and Tulsa King crossover of Sheridan-verse fans’ dreams, but Cole Hauser and Sylvester Stallone are reportedly working together on a new drama series for MGM tiled Blood Aces.
Hauser and Stallone plan to adapt Doug J. Swanson’s 2014 book Blood Aces: The Wild Ride of Benny Binion, the Texas Gangster Who Created Vegas Poker, according to Deadline, with Hauser starring as Benny Binion. The story follows Binion, a former casino operator in Texas who relocated to Las Vegas and helped transform the city into one of the premier gambling destinations on the planet.
“Benny Binion is one of the great Western American characters and success stories of the 20th century, loaded with ambition, vision, balls, and like all controversial characters, many flaws,” Hauser said in a statement to the press. “His legacy is undeniable. How he built it is an incredible story which we can’t wait to tell. It’s a privilege to play him and an honor to produce this with Sylvester Stallone.”
Blood Aces is MGM’s latest attempt to bolster the roster of its premium service, MGM+, which was acquired by Amazon in March 2022. It now serves as an add-on to Prime Video’s offerings, with original programming such as Godfather of Harlem, the sci-fi horror series From, and the mystery thriller Vanished with Kaley Cuoco.
While Stallone will return for Tulsa King season 4—presumably in late November or early next year—Hauser is a busy man following the Yellowstone series finale. The actor behind Rip Wheeler will reportedly star in a Yellowstone sequel spin-off titled Dutton Ranch for Paramount+ later this year. Hauser also has a football drama in the works for Netflix with True Detective writer Nic Pizzolatto in which he and Matthew McConaughey will play brothers.
“This is a story that will captivate audiences, and it’s a role made for Cole Hauser to play,” Stallone added in the press release. “I am proud and excited to partner with Cole to bring this story to life.”
