Is Young and the Restless Quietly Positioning Cane to Hit Victor Where It Hurts Most?

On the February 4 episode of The Young and the Restless, Cane raged about Victor threatening Lily, Mattie, and Charlie, while Abby and

Devon sobbed over a missing Dominic, and Mariah monologued over his tiny sleeping form. Is the show brilliantly showing us how these

two stories will intersect? And, if so, here is how Cane can use Dominic’s kidnapping to his advantage.

Is Young and the Restless Quietly Positioning Cane to Hit Victor Where It Hurts Most?

But Cane isn’t in a crying mood. First, he confronted Adam (Mark Grossman), making it clear Cane ain’t playing. But there is still another ace he can play.

Victor (Eric Braeden) figured that once he stashed Lily (Christel Khalil, who showed off her new baby) and the twins somewhere Cane (Billy Flynn) couldn’t find them, Cane would burst into tears and do anything Victor said, which includes handing over Newman Enterprises.

Cane built an AI program that can do, basically, magic. And now that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is in his corner, Cane is even more powerful. Remember when Phyllis used her amazing hacking skills to figure out who Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) really was, while Victor’s incredible security teams just sat on their hands and looked confused?

Cane told Adam that if Victor went after his family, Cane would go after his. Adam dismissed it as an idle threat. But a Newman is already missing: Dominic (Ethan Ray Allen).

Joke’s on Cane, however: Victor couldn’t care less about Abby (Melissa Ordway). But Dominic is a boy grandchild. Maybe Victor will care about him. And then he’s right back where he started.
