The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Wednesday, February 4, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was pressured to keep a huge secret from Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle).

Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) and Eric Forrester (John McCook) demanded Liam’s silence after he found out about Eric’s new job.

 

 

At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) got frisky with Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and flirted with her in the CEO office.

At one point on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Brooke took a reporter’s phone call and refused to let herself get baited into speaking out against Katie.

Ridge and Brooke discussed Katie’s mystery designer before talk turned to Eric’s retirement. Since Ridge regretted how he handled it, it kept him up at night.

Although Eric acted content with his new life away from the fashion world, Ridge suspected his dad would give anything to get back to creating.

In the Forrester design office, Liam assured Hope that they were Switzerland in this whole Katie and Brooke situation.

Hope was pleased over Liam agreeing that they didn’t need to take sides.

In Bill’s office, Eric arrived wearing a hat and scarf since he’d disguised himself to get in the building.

Once Eric showed Katie his new designs, she was over the moon since he really captured her vision for Logan.

Eric was adamant about keeping his new designer gig a secret, so Katie insisted she’d keep it under wraps along with Bill and Donna Logan Forrester (Jennifer Gareis).

However, Liam walked in on Eric’s conversation with Katie and Bill moments later.

Once Liam saw the sketches, he quickly realized Eric was now designing for Katie’s fashion house.

Liam immediately grew concerned since he knew Ridge and Brooke were going to flip once they got updates.

Eric insisted the “the old man” was forced out, but he wasn’t feeling so old anymore and wanted to help Katie build her brand.

Bill told Liam that no one else could know about this and claimed this was Spencer business.

Liam remained worried about Brooke and Ridge’s inevitable reaction to this news, but Bill said they couldn’t know yet.

Katie backed Bill up and insisted that not even Hope could know.

Eric acknowledged that there’d be major fallout when the truth came out, but he felt Ridge and Brooke brought this on themselves.

Eric declared that his future was at Logan, so he was eager to start a new chapter “right here, right now.”
