There’s a new RJ on The Bold and the Beautiful. The CBS soap has once again opted to recast the role of Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) only child.

Joshua Hoffman played the role of RJ from 2023 to 2024, when the character was involved with Luna (Lisa Yamada) before she went crazy. In an interesting turn of events, RJ disappeared in the fall of 2024 without any explanation.

Suddenly, RJ was gone, Hoffman was out, and Luna turned into a crazed killer. Over a year later, RJ has resurfaced on The Bold and the Beautiful with a new face and a new lease on being the golden child at Forrester Creations.

Brayan Nicoletti Replaces Joshua Hoffman as RJ on The Bold and the Beautiful
RJ strutted into the Forrester Creations offices with nearly every employee acting like he was a prince returning to his castle. However, this time around, instead of Hoffman in the role, RJ is now being played by Brayan Nicoletti.

“HE’S BACK…watch @boldandbeautifulcbs on CBS or Paramount+ 🙏🏻,” Nicoletti teased recently in an Instagram post.

Nicoletti is a Denver, Colorado native who initially didn’t want to be an actor. In an interview with TV Insider, Nicoletti revealed that during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he was home watching movies, he caught the acting bug.

“I remember I went to turn in a paper to one of my counselors, and she asked me what my plans were after high school. I told her, ‘I’ve kind of been looking at this acting thing,’ and she had a nephew that had just graduated from this film school in Los Angeles. She told me to take a look at it, and that led to me moving out here right after high school. They say L.A. is the land of dreams,” he shared.

Before landing RJ on The Bold and the Beautiful, Nicoletti made his acting debut in the 2024 film Woodbridge.

Here’s How Brayan Nicoletti Prepared For His First Soap Role
Considering that Nicoletti is not only new to the business but also to the soap world, he told TV Insider he did his research on RJ before his first day on The Bold and the Beautiful.

“I did all my research beforehand, but once it got to set, it was really figuring out the chemistry and the relationships with everybody. He’s grown into this man who’s really trying to figure out what he values and where his priorities should be,” the actor teased.

There’s no question that RJ’s got a whole different vibe about him since he returned, and not just because a new actor is playing the character. RJ’s written with confidence and entitlement that was missing in the character before.

Nicoletti is the sixth actor to play RJ on the CBS soap. Along with Hoffman, Ridge Perkett,Jack Horan, Mace Coronel, and Anthony Turpel have also taken on the role.
