“Gripping” new Western from Yellowstone boss confirms release date with “breathtaking” first look
Paramount+ has released some “breathtaking” first-look images of its “gripping” new show The Madison, which comes from Yellowstone boss Taylor Sheridan. Not only that, we’ve got a release date for when the first episode will premiere on the service.
Described as “a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation”, the show follows the Clyburns as they relocate from New York City to the Madison River valley in southwest Montana following a family tragedy.
It’s got some big names in the cast, including Suits’ Patrick J Adams, The Good Doctor’s Beau Garrett, A Man Called Otto’s Elle Chapman, War for the Planet of the Apes’ Amiah Miller, 3 Body Problem’s Ben Schnetzer, Lost’s Matthew Fox, Power’s Kevin Zegers, Lady in the Lake’s Rebeca Spence, 1923’s Danielle Vasinova, and young actor Alaina Pollack.
And as our two leads, we’ve got Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, who serve as executive producers alongside Sheridan and others.
The first of six episodes will drop on Saturday, 14 March, exclusively on Paramount+ globally.
When The Madison was announced, it was confirmed to be a spin-off set in the same universe as Yellowstone and Sheridan’s other hit shows.
“Yellowstone has been the cornerstone on which we have launched an entire universe of global hits — from 1883 to Tulsa King,” Chris McCarthy, president and CEO Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studio, said at the time.
“I am confident our Yellowstone sequel will be another big hit, thanks to the brilliant creative mind of Taylor Sheridan and our incredible casts who bring these shows to life.”
Even though the first episode hasn’t even been released yet, a second season has already been confirmed.
It’s not the only Yellowstone universe show on its way, with The Dutton Ranch and Marshals both set for release this year.
