Coronation Street to spark new mystery over Megan’s pregnancy choice
Coronation Street airs a pregnancy mystery tonight – as fans are left to wonder whether Megan Walsh is planning to keep Will Driscoll’s
baby. The scheming character heads to an abortion clinic after confiding in Leanne Battersby and Eva Price, but what happens behind closed doors during the appointment is shrouded in secrecy.

The ITV soap aired a major new development in its ongoing grooming storyline this week, as a pregnancy test was found in Megan’s handbag during Bertie Osbourne’s birthday party. While everyone assumed that Daniel Osbourne would be the father if Megan turned out to be pregnant, her shifty behaviour showed viewers that she was fearful over the other possibility – 16-year-old Will being the dad.
Megan confirms that she’s pregnant but has already booked herself in for an abortion later that day. Leanne and Eva suggest that she could confide in Daniel as they know he’d support her, but she refuses even though it could be her only chance to be a mum.
“I have something called polycystic ovaries, which means that it’s really difficult to conceive naturally,” Megan explains, after Eva and Leanne take her into the back room of The Rovers for a chat.
However, reflecting on Daniel’s nervous reaction to seeing her pregnancy test, she adds: “I can tell he doesn’t want it. I think I’ve made my mind up. Sorry, but my life is too unstable at the minute.”
Later, Leanne joins Megan at the abortion clinic and reminds her one last time that it’s not too late to change her mind.
Megan assures Leanne that she doesn’t need any more time to make her decision, and she heads inside when she’s called for her appointment.
That evening, Megan orders water rather than alcohol when catching up with Daniel for a date at the Bistro. Is this on medical advice after a termination? Or has she decided to keep the baby after all? Either way, Megan is clearly still troubled over everything she’s hiding…
Coronation Street’s Megan Walsh risks her dark secret being exposed in next week’s episodes, as a chain of events leads to multiple characters ending up in hospital at the same time. Will she evade suspicion?
Evil sports coach Megan has been grooming teenager Will Driscoll, and while Tracy McDonald has realised that there’s something up with her, the residents of the street are still unaware about what’s really going on.
In scenes set to air across Monday, 19 January and Tuesday, 20 January, Megan suddenly tells Will that she’s got to go away for a while.
