Emmerdale’s Joe Tate seals Moira’s fate – here’s what happens next

Moira Dingle’s fate may have been sealed in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale as police find a body, sending shockwaves through the village.

Celia Daniels and Ray Walters have seemingly vanished from the village, ending their reign of terror, but the aftermath is still wreaking havoc, with several residents implicated in their mess.

Upcoming Emmerdale spoilers: Moira is arrested as Joe ignites a war between the Dingles

DC Stewart arrives at Butlers Farm to interview Moira, who says she can’t talk as her husband, Cain Dingle, has just been discharged from the hospital and she needs to pick him up.

Robert Sugden steps in, and the officers quickly tell him that they need to speak to all of the staff on site, as well as Cain, about Moira’s partnership with Celia and her human trafficking operation.

Robert and Victoria Sugden try desperately to paint Moira in a positive light, highlighting how they helped the village’s local water treatment centre and why that was the reason she partnered with Celia to avoid losing the farm.

Jai Sharma is interviewed by police, explaining that one set of van keys has gone missing, which just so happen to be the keys to a van in which the body of a deceased male, thought to be Ray, was found.

It is likely to implicate Jai in the investigation, given that he was spotted driving the vehicle in the recent Corriedale episode.

Moira believes she has coped well with the informal questioning, but when the police later visit Joe Tate, he makes several sly remarks about how close Moira and Celia supposedly were.

And these simple remarks were enough to land Moira in hot water, influencing police to return to Moira’s home with a search warrant, where Joe had blackmailed Robert into planting incriminating evidence.

Wednesday’s episode will see the police arrest Moira after they find said evidence, leaving Cain devastated.

Moira actor Natalie J Robb explained: “As far as she’s concerned, Moira’s got nothing to hide, so she’s more than happy when they have a look around.

“When they come across evidence, she realises how deep this runs and how manipulative Celia has been. Moira has been truly implicated in the whole operation.”
