As Steffy’s freaking out on her mother in her office, Deacon stands behind the bar at Il Giardino thinking about the World-Renowned

Psychiatrist™. Deke wanders up and asks what’s on his mind. Meanwhile, at Forrester, Carter’s declaring to Daphne that the timing is finally right for them. “Don’t leave!”

 

 

Daphne appreciates Carter fighting for them, but this is what’s best. She’s enjoyed every moment with him, but home is Paris. He argues that home can be in Los Angeles… with him.

At Il Giardino, Deacon tells Deke he has a good feeling about Katie and her fashion house. His son hopes it works out, but isn’t about to be distracted from probing his dad about his earlier distraction. Was he thinking about the woman in his life?

After a lot of sighing, Deacon says it’s more about him than Sheila… and someone else. He loves his wife and won’t break his commitment. Deke senses he’s having second thoughts and someone else has caught his eye. Deacon admits it. She’s intelligent and special. “Taylor.” Deke gawps, “What?! Dad…”Deacon hisses at him not to say a thing. Deke declares, “This is so great!” He tells Deacon that the staff and customers can’t stand to be around Sheila. His success there is because of him… and now he’s connecting with another woman who is worthy of him.At Taylor’s office, Steffy scolds her mother for making eyes at Deacon. “He’s married!” she exclaims, stating the obvious. “He’s Sheila’s husband!” she helpfully adds as if Taylor didn’t know.

Taylor denies anything is happening between her and Deacon. Steffy knows what she heard. “You can’t fall for a patient! That patient!” Tay falls back on, “It’s complicated.” She admits there’s something about him… he’s a remarkable man. Steffy repeats, “A man who is married to Sheila!”

They go back and forth, and Steffy realizes that her mother has actually fallen for Deacon. Taylor admits he’s more than just a patient. “He sees me. We get each other.” Steffy grits, “Stop it. Stop it right now!”

At Forrester, Brooke and Ridge discuss Carter’s dilemma with Daphne and hope he can convince her to stay and give their relationship a chance. By the runway, Daphne sure sounds like she’s running as she wonders if this is just a fantasy that will ultimately disappoint them. Carter launches into a heartfelt speech about her scent enticing him. “I can’t lose you. I won’t.”

Holding firm, Daphne tells Carter she’ll always be a phone call away. Carter wants all of her. He knows he hurt her when he stayed with Hope, but Daphne was right about everything. He implores her not to leave and they kiss passionately.

In the office, Brooke asks Ridge if there’s any gossip about Taylor. She wants her to find happiness with another man. Has Steffy mentioned one? Ridge is amazed by the blonde’s big heart so they kiss and hug.

The Final Scenes
At Il Giardino, Deacon’s eyes dart around warily as Deke goes on about how amazing it would be for his dad to come home to someone like Taylor every day. He goes on about Sheila being a negative vibe and choosing Luna over him; lying to his face. Does he seriously want to be around the next time she goes off the rails? Taylor could help him get out of this disaster of a marriage. Deacon reminds his son that he’s her patient. Deke doesn’t see that as an issue and claps his dad on the shoulder with wink. “For now.”

In Taylor’s office, Steffy is telling Taylor for the hundredth time that Deacon is married to the lunatic Sheila. She’ll snap! Taylor shrugs, “Unless she really has changed.” She remind her daughter Sheila saved her life. Now, Steffy’s really worried about her mother. “This isn’t you! Going after a married man? Sheila’s husband?” Taylor exhales, “You’re right.” She swears she and Deacon haven’t crossed the line.

Steffy warns about what Sheila will do if she finds out about this. Taylor will be her next victim! She wants her mother to be with anyone but Deacon. Taylor nods, “You’re right.” They embrace.
