Preview: As Sheila Comes Homicidally Unhinged Again, Bold & Beautiful Dumps One In-Progress Storyline for Another
Someone needs to have a serious talk with Bold & Beautiful shrink Taylor about security. Even though she’s already “died” twice — once at
Sheila’s hand — the psycho still easily gains access to her office in the Tuesday, January 6, episode. (Read the spoilers here.) And you can
well guess why: She again wants to discuss husband Deacon — aka Taylor’s crush. Here’s why this is so noteworthy.

The twist signals a shift from the storyline that the show had begun after Sheila defended Steffy from Luna (and lost another toe in the process). At the time, it had appeared that Steffy’s stance on her murderous mother-in-law was softening, perhaps to the point that one day she’d allow Sheila to spend time with Finn and Hayes.
Had the soap continued down that path, it would’ve opened up new story possibilities as Steffy had to defend her change of heart, and her family had to adjust to the awkwardness (terror?) of having Sheila roll up to every holiday gathering. “Who wants toe cookies?!?”
But since the former Young & Restless villainess is going off the rails again over Taylor and Deacon — she’s already told Li she’d kill the doc if anything happened between her and her patient — the door to those potential plots is being slammed shut. Where does that leave us?
If — or should we say when? — Sheila again gives in to her homicidal tendencies, she’ll be left back at the same dead end at which she arrived when she shot Steffy in cold blood. There’s no future for a character like that. As it is, we can’t figure out why anyone would frequent Il Giardino with her working there. “Come for the pizza, stay for the arsenic!”
Is Bold & Beautiful planning to have Sheila go murderous again, then let time pass, assuming we’ll just shrug off her actions and accept that she still gets to walk around as free as a bird? Hasn’t it played that card an awful lot already?
What do you think will happen when Sheila realizes just how intense Taylor and Deacon’s feelings are? On your way to the comments, review the latest edition of Soaps’ Burning Questions in the below photo gallery.
