Chicago Med Season 11 Episode 8 Preview: Hannah's Dad and Dean Archer

At the hospital, Britt tells Portia she’ll be doing her check-up today and informs her that she has her license back. Curtis appears, having come for her appointment, and asks for a word with Portia in private.

Britt excuses herself, and Curtis asks if she can have the paternity test done today. She isn’t ready yet, even though she’s in the second trimester; the results will stress her out more than not knowing. She asks for a little more time and walks off.

Britt finishes Portia’s check-up and says everything looks great, to keep her resting and her stress to a minimum. Britt leaves, and Liz appears to check on her friend. Portia confesses that she originally wanted this baby to be Isaiah’s, but for Trina’s sake, she hopes it is Curtis’.

In the hall, Curtis speaks with Britt about scheduling a paternity test for Portia as soon as possible. Isaiah appears and says that’s not happening. Britt explains to both of them that Portia is her patient and that this decision is up to Portia. She walks off, and Isiah and Curtis get into it. Isaiah won’t let Curtis put stress on Portia and says she wouldn’t have turned to him if Curtis had treated her better.

Carly and Jack have lunch at Bobbie’s, and she hopes he was able to find Valentin over New Year’s. Jack hasn’t and is beginning to think he’s not in Port Charles. He says wherever Valentin is, he’s regrouping and plotting his revenge.

Emma interrupts them and tells Jack she desperately needs to get in touch with her grandmother, who she’s worried about. Jack is alarmed to learn she hasn’t had direct contact with Anna since Halloween, when she left, only voicemails or photos from a blocked number. Jack says he’ll investigate it, and asks for the photo Anna sent her on Christmas to examine any metadata attached.

Emma departs, and Carly suggests to Jack that perhaps Anna is who Valentin reached out to for help. Jack isn’t convinced, as it would be treason and cost Anna everything. Carly says he’s probably right, and she needs to run and take Donna to gymnastics.

Jack makes a call to someone and says he’s sending them a photo, and he needs to know where this person is.

Outside of Bobbie’s, Kristina meets with Jacinda, hands her a bag of cash, and says she needs to leave town immediately. Kristina explains that Michael doesn’t know about this, and she saw something she wasn’t supposed to see in her mother’s files. Kristina tells her to take care and walks off. Jacinda looks at the bracelet Michael gave her and is clearly conflicted.

In Carly’s attic, Valentin thinks about his Christmas reunion with Charlotte.

Danny finds Charlotte in the Quartermaine stables, and she claims she’s going to take Hades out for a ride. Danny doesn’t believe that, as that horse hates everyone but Tracy.

Charlotte admits she’s going to see her dad, who is hiding out at Carly’s, and she thought she could lose the cop outside by sneaking through the woods. Danny proposes a better option: his bike. They hop on and head through the woods to Carly’s.

Later, Valentin is stunned when Charlotte shows up to see him. She promises she was careful, and no one knows she’s here. He embraces his daughter and misses her, but insists she can never do this again. He needs her to sit tight and wait for him to send the signal, a key with a red ribbon. He promises they’ll be together for good soon.

Charlotte admits she liked spending the holidays with her mom and Rocco, and she got to babysit Ace. She tells him about the run-in with Sidwell, and Valentin says she must stay away from Sidwell as he’s dangerous. He also tells her that she must go now and promise not to come back. She does so, and they hug,

Alexis Makes Progress in Court
In court, Joss appears to support Michael, knowing he’s testifying today. Meanwhile, Drew tells Alexis he hopes her time with Scout has driven her to find a new way to exonerate Willow. Alexis explains her plan to make the jury believe Michael should be the one on trial.

Dante is called to the stand, and Alexis questions him about Michael as one of the suspects and about his alibi for the night of the shooting, Jacinda Bracken. She points out that Michael’s alibi was never fully scrutinized, and perhaps that’s because Michael is his brother.
