This Week’s Burning Questions, From Bold & Beautiful’s Name Game to General Hospital’s Pitch-Perfect 2025 Farewell — Plus, Why’d This Fan Fave Vanish?
Did you groan when Young & Restless‘ Cane lamented to Lily how many times he’d let her down, only to have her fall for that BS? Bro, you made self-serving, idiotic choices over and over and over again. Own it — and stop messing with her mind!
Bold & Beautiful fans, were you squarely in Katie’s corner until she refused to even consider Brooke’s reasonable suggestion that she call her fashion company Katie Logan Designs rather than just Logan?
Didn’t General Hospital‘s Trina speak for all of us when she said, “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, 2025”?
How nice is it of the shops in Salem to constantly be OK with shutting down for one wedding after another? Is there nowhere else Days of Our Lives characters can get married?
We honestly didn’t know how to feel about the scenes in which Beyond the Gates’ Dani basically kicked Hayley out of her own living room to talk to Bill. Yes, Dani was there to discuss urgent, private family business… but guess what? Like it or not, Hayley is Bill’s wife and therefore part of the family. But our opinions shifted when, after eavesdropping on the conversation, Hayley remained in pouty/bitchy mode despite knowing what Dani, Bill and their daughters were dealing with!
While Young & Restless’ Kyle hasn’t exactly proven himself a catch of late, were you proud of him for standing up to Claire? She proved herself a true Newman by defending grandpa Victor’s actions, didn’t she?
Were the Bold & Beautiful scenes in which Liam and Carter raced to secure the lapsed Logan trademark oddly exciting? But does somebody want to tell the show that while applying for a trademark just takes minutes, being granted that trademark can take more than a year?
We know that General Hospital’s Alexis is a busy woman, but surely she can hire someone to clean the window panes on her front door, right? They’re filthy!
If Days of Our Lives’ Titan can’t survive without constantly messing with DiMera, maybe they should rethink their business model. Or how about they just go after some other company for a change? DiMera’s not the only corporation in the world!
Where the heck did Dr. Kial disappear to? Beyond the Gates got us all excited about the arrival of Greg Vaughan’s new character, proved Kial has chemistry with Nicole… and then let him completely vanish!
Did anybody else nearly choke when Young & Restless’ Nikki told Jack that surely Victor’s love for her would guide him to make the right decision? Talk about someone not learning their lesson no matter how many times it is taught!
Anybody else find it awkward that Bold & Beautiful repeatedly made a point of saying that problems regarding unhoused students disproportionately impact people of color as they told the story with three white kids?
General Hospital’s Valentin poisoned Carly while trying to kill her boyfriend, yet she still shows him more compassion than she does Willow, whose only crime is what, cheating on her son?
Does Days of Our Lives’ Marlena need to forgive everyone? She befriended Ben who “killed” Will, is treating Xander (who abducted Rachel), embraced Lucas at Christmas as if he never kidnapped Sami, and befriended Leo after what he put Will and Sonny through!
Which made you cheer louder… Beyond the Gates’ Ted repeatedly shutting down Leslie’s flirtations or him planting a New Year’s Eve kiss on Shanice?
If Young & Restless’ Phyllis thinks she can steal the AI from Victor, why doesn’t she just do it? She could then either sell it to the highest bidder or prove to everyone in town she’s changed by destroying it.
Isn’t it about time Bold & Beautiful’s Carter was given his walking papers? First he staged a hostile takeover in order to make his girlfriend happy, then he somehow didn’t notice that an important trademark had been lapsed for a year!
Were we the only General Hospital viewers who wondered why Jordan had upright sticks of butter on her living room table before realizing, “Duh! They’re candles!”?
When are we going to meet the rest of Sophia’s family? In one Days of Our Lives episode, we learned her dad and mom are always fighting, and later that she has multiple little brothers. At least give us the man who butts heads with Amy!
As charismatic as General Hospital‘s Braedyn Bruner (Emma) and Giovanni Mazza (Gio) are — especially together! — doesn’t it just kill you to imagine the day that they’ll follow young MVPs like Nicholas Alexander Chavez (ex-Spencer) and William Lipton (ex-Cameron) off the show?
Have Beyond the Gates’ Vanessa and Joey snuck up on you to become an unexpectedly complicated and yet fascinating romance? They aren’t really good people, and yet we somehow find ourselves rooting for these crazy, kinda corrupt kids to make it!
Could Bold & Beautiful’s Ridge and Brooke have been any jerkier about Katie’s decision to call her fashion line Logan? Also, is the above expression that of a sister who loves and supports her sib?
We get it that Special WSB Agent Joss Jacks is busy lately, but doesn’t it feel like she’s been completely replaced by Emma as Trina’s BFF on General Hospitl? Why was Joss MIA on NYE?
Was anyone else relieved (besides Alex and Stephanie) when Kayla finally got Days of Our Lives’ Steve out of their apartment? There’s only so many times you can walk in on people kissing before it stops being funny and starts being annoying!
The longer Bold & Beautiful keeps Dylan around, are you finding yourself hoping that the show will use her as more than just a prop in a PSA? Wonder if she’ll stick around longer than did Beverly, another down-on-her-luck young woman who was oh-so-briefly “helped” by one of our regulars.
As happy as we are that Dimitri is finally back on Days of Our Lives, how gasp-worthy would his appearance at Leo and Javi’s wedding been had his return not been spoiled in the winter preview?
Which was worse… Bold & Beautiful’s Ridge saying he didn’t want to sound catty right before doing exactly that or Brooke agreeing with his assessment that Katie wasn’t going to be competition “to us or any other fashion house”?
Cody and Molly’s New Year’s Eve plans got hijacked when Justine, who was focused on Willow’s case, demanded the young attorney go into the office to work on a plea deal that had to be done that night. Why? Even in General Hospital’s Port Charles the courts are surely closed on New Year’s Day!
How nice was it that General Hospital reminded viewers that dogs are terrified of loud noises like fireworks on New Year’s Eve?
Now that we’ve talked about the past week, why not reflect on all of 2025? That’s right, it’s time for our annual look at the best and worst of the year, all of which you can explore by clicking here!
