As happy as Jason Thompson is at #YR, he’d still like to play #GH’s Patrick again, at least for a bit. Read why here:

Young & Restless leading man Jason Thompson would be the first to say that he’s incredibly happy playing expert self-saboteur Billy. (He’ll

celebrate his 10th anniversary in Genoa City in January.) In fact, he’s just told Swooon exactly how delighted he is to report to work every

day at the CBS soap. But over the course of the interview, he also admits that he wishes he could return to General Hospital again, if only briefly, to see how Patrick gets along with his now-grown daughter, Emma.

Young & Restless' Jason Thompson Returning as General Hospital's Patrick?

Knowing that the luminous Braedyn Bruener is now inhabiting the role of Patrick and Robin’s firstborn as an adult, “it makes me a little bit jealous that I can’t be there with her a little bit,” the Emmy winner says, adding that, “I still love that character, and I still would love to embody it a little bit.”

In particular, Thompson is curious to find out whether Emma and her dear ol’ dad get along. “I want to know if she likes her dad,” he admits, “or if he messed her up or what’s going on.”

Considering that Emma now frequently runs afoul of her father’s conniving ex-lover Britt, she and Pop would have a lot to talk about. (Questions like “Britt? Seriously? How low were your standards?” come to mind.) Knowing Emma’s around and fully grown “makes me think about all the possibilities,” Thompson says. Now he’s got us thinking about them, too.

Maybe Young & Restless would lend him out for a couple of days — kinda the way General Hospital and Beyond the Gates share Jon Lindstrom and General Hospital and Days of Our Lives share Wally Kurth? And Billy Flynn has been airing for months as Days of Our Lives’ Chad and Young & Restless‘ Cane, and the world hasn’t stopped turning.
