Coronation Street Adam Barlow is set to make a big gesture on Christmas Day, but the happiness could be ruined by Maggie Driscoll, who’s on the warpath. Will she really cause chaos on the big day?

Maggie is no fan of her son Ben’s partner Eva Price, and is adamant that she’s having an affair with Adam.

As the big day begins and Ben and Eva exchange gifts, Maggie watches on in disgust.

Later on, Adam gives Alya Nazir a necklace and tells her how much he loves her. He suggests they take things to the next level and move in together, and she’s thrilled.

Maggie, however, is intent on telling everyone that Adam and Eva are having an affair.

Can Adam and Alya survive Maggie’s scheming, or will she really ruin everything for them?

And how will Ben react to all of this?

Meanwhile, Maggie insists that Daniel Osbourne and Bertie stay for lunch after they call at the Rovers with a gift for Megan Walsh, who Eva invited to stay with them for Christmas.

Teenager Will, who is secretly being groomed by Megan, watches the couple and is barely able to mask his fury. Will anyone cotton on to the fact that something is going on between the youngster and his athletics coach?

Unlike EastEnders, ITV is dropping its Christmas Day episodes of both Corrie and Emmerdale first thing in the morning on streaming, so you don’t need to wait until after your dinner and risk falling asleep.
