all r-over Coronation Street star reveals exit from soap with dressing room snap – and final scenes have already aired
A CORONATION Street star has revealed his exit from the show and his final scenes have already aired.
Actor Andrew Hayden Smith began appearing in the ITV soap opera earlier this year but his time on the cobbles has come to a sad end.
The star shared a slew of dressing room and on-set snaps to Instagram to mark his time on the show as he went on to reveal that he had finished work on the programme.
Andrew played Pete who was brought in as part of the horrific ongoing domestic abuse storyline with Theo Silverton and Todd Grimshaw.
Pete became embroiled in their ill-fated romance with Theo cheating on Todd with Pete as part of his manipulative and controlling ways.
But Andrew has revealed that his final scenes as Pete have already played out and he won’t be back in Weatherfield again.
Corrie star’s final scenes air as she quits after three years on the soap
Writing online, he said: “Happy 65th Birthday @coronationstreet. So unbelievably proud to have walked on your illustrious cobbles earlier this year.”
Andrew confirmed his exit as he replied to a follower on Instagram who asked him if he was still in the soap, the actor replied: “All done now.”
Actor Andrew has previously appeared in Hollyoaks as well as his main role in Byker Grove where he played Ben Carter between 1996 and 2003.
During his time on Coronation Street, he was seen romancing Theo under the guise that he had an open relationship with Todd.
Andrew’s exit is one of many at Coronation Street.
Channique Stirling-Brown departed the soap today as Dee-Dee Bailey after three years in the role.
Her exit came after she landed more episodes of the soap than anyone else in 2024.
Other exits are also expected in 2026 with the premiere of the Emmerdale crossover special, Corriedale.
